JEFF GRASSO
Founder & Managing Partner
Jeff Grasso is the Founder & Managing Partner of Vesta where he is responsible for the firm’s management & strategy, investment implementation, and investor relations. Before launching Vesta, Jeff was Senior Vice President and Head of Acquisitions at Silverstein Properties, Inc., where he was responsible for sourcing, capitalizing, and executing over $10 billion of acquisition, development, and corporate investments in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Prior to joining Silverstein, Jeff worked in the portfolio management group of ING Clarion Capital, a $5 billion AUM real estate credit opportunity fund. He was responsible for the acquisition and asset management of an ABS portfolio in addition to acquiring and originating high yield whole loans.
Jeff holds a B.S. in Accounting, Finance, and Real Estate from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. He resides in Salt Lake with his wife where he enjoys fly fishing, whitewater rafting, and embraces a “pay it forward” mentality with the local Utah community.
JOHN BANKHEAD
Managing Partner
John Bankhead is a Managing Partner of Vesta where he is responsible for new business initiatives, the firm’s development activity, and government relations. John previously spent 12 years with the Gardner Group as Co-Head of Development. During John’s time with Gardner, he executed entitlements and developed over $2 billion of office, residential, and industrial projects across the Mountain West. Notable developments include the 2,300 employee Adobe creative office campus in Lehi, the 350,000 SF Pluralsight creative office campus in Draper, the 400,000 SF Zions Center of Excellence office campus in Midvale, the View 78 master planned mixed-use community consisting of 3,500 residential units and 1.5 million SF of office in Midvale, and the Thanksgiving Station Transit Oriented Development consisting of 2,000 residential units and 1.5 million SF of office in Lehi. John specializes in entitlements and working with various state and local authorities to create efficient development financing mechanisms.
John holds a B.S. in Mathematics and a M.S. in Mathematics and Statistics from Brigham Young University. He resides in Salt Lake with his wife and two daughters where he enjoys rock climbing, mountain biking, river rafting, skiing, and all other things outdoors.
ADAM RUBINSTEIN
Co-Founder & Partner
Adam Rubinstein is a Co-Founder and Partner of Vesta where he is responsible for the firm’s asset management, operations, and investment implementation. Prior to forming Vesta, Adam was an Executive Vice President at Metropolitan Realty Associates, a New York based institutional real estate sponsor focused on investing in office, retail, and industrial real estate. In this role, Adam was responsible for underwriting and asset management of investments on behalf of the company and its institutional partners. Prior to joining Metropolitan Realty Associates, Adam was a Director at Newmark where he was a member of the capital markets group and an affiliated company founded by the firm’s principals focused on property investments.
Adam holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan and a M.S. in Real Estate from New York University. He resides in New York City with his wife and son where he enjoys playing golf, going to the beach, and spending time with his family.
THAYER HUNT
Vice President
Thayer Hunt is a Vice President for Vesta where he leads the firm’s acquisitions initiatives and supports development and asset management activities. Prior to Vesta, Thayer was an acquisition officer for Nuveen Real Estate in their Alternatives and Strategic Transactions group where he specialized in real estate investments and corporate M&A, supporting acquisitions and asset management efforts across more than $6 billion of national healthcare, senior housing, office, and life science investments.
Thayer holds a B.S. in Finance from Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Business. He resides in Salt Lake where he enjoys golfing, pickleball, and giving back to his alma mater.
